"We interviewed many realtors when we decided to sell our home of 25 years. We were amazed at the diverse interest and attitudes to the selling of the property. We had the cautious approach; the all-business approach; the blasé attitude. The recommended asking prices varied quite a bit as well. It was interesting and surprising. We felt a bit perplexed through this process because it gave the impression of a “just-another-day, just-another-property” mind-set. "My mother decided to sell her house and asked me to work with my brother and sister to find her a realtor. My mother's sale was a complex one because we were under a tight deadline, and it involved moving money across international lines for the purchase of her next home. We interviewed several potential realtors about the Vancouver market, the selling price of my mother's house, and the complications of coordinating the sale of her home with the purchase of her next propoerty. All the realtors seemed confident of their answers, but James quoted us the highest asking price for our mother's home. When we countered with James estimate to the other realtors, they argued that it was too high, would delay the sale, and potentially lead to a lower selling price in the end. Though this caused us to hesitate, we decided to go with James because overall he seemed to have more knowledge to back up his answers, more experience in my mother's neighborhood, and offered us the promise of more assistance in preparing the home of sale. We did not regret it. James turned out to be very accessible, availabe when we needed answers to questions, easy to talk to, and clear in his answers and instructions. When we encountered difficulty in achieving something, he found us the immediate assistance we needed. James did a beautiful job helping my mother quickly get the house up on the market, quickly got it ready for the open house, he got an offer at the first showing, got our asking price with few contingencies, he got us a sales contract of the first day of showing, he helped my mother meet the contingencies, and quickly closed the deal, more money than we expected and ahead of our deadline!  We highly recommnend James Buonassissi to anyone in the Vancouver home market!"

"Picture the following scenario: you have no faith in your agent, so you look at a tonne of MLS listings. You send them to your agent to make bookings. What sets James apart is he takes your list, reviews it, and on the spot tells you that most of them are crappy listings. They are crappy because you are not in real estate, and have no idea, but he has 30+ years of experience and knows the buildings inside and out. Then he gives you a list that he's created, and the places are good. Real estate is complicated and noisy, and most agents add no value, simply taking your list and wasting time.
